City And Colour is the stage name of Canadian folk singer/songwriter Dallas Green, who is also the guitarist and singer of Canadian hardrock band Alexisonfire.

I think the song Comin' Home is about coming home after being away for a long time. It's written from the point of view of someone who spends a lot of their time traveling. I think maybe it's about touring with his band and coming home after that to find that some things are different. This is about someone who likes to travel yet at the same time has a longing for home. About missing friends and family. Also maybe about losing someone you love because you're not there enough. When you're traveling even if you enjoy it and are having fun I think you reach a point where you just want to go home and sleep in your own bed, in your own house. When Dallas Green released his first solo album he didn't want to put it out under his own name so he created the alias City and Colour, which comes from his real name Dallas (which is a city) and Green (which is a colour).
